About WHICHpos

Last updated June 12, 2026
The disclosure, first and in plain words: WHICHpos is owned and operated by Solvr Solutions Inc. (Montréal, Canada) — the same company that designs and sells JET POS, one of the systems reviewed on this site. We are not an independent publication, and we'd rather you know that in the first ten seconds than discover it later.

Why build a comparison site at all, then?

Because the existing ones are worse, in a less visible way. Most "best POS systems" pages are written by media companies that have never plugged in a receipt printer, and ranked — quietly — by which vendor pays the highest affiliate commission. The disclosure is in tiny grey text, if it exists at all.

We have the opposite profile. We're a POS company: we build the hardware, write the software, and answer the support emails. We know this market from the inside — what processing contracts do to a margin, which "free hardware" deals cost the most, why a cash drawer that jams matters more than a dashboard widget. That experience is genuinely useful to buyers. The honest way to publish it is with our name on it.

The rules that keep this honest

What we make

JET POS is a pay-once point-of-sale system: the hardware is yours ($899–$1,800 one-time), the software is $0/month permanently, there's no contract, and it works alongside any payment processor. It serves restaurants and retail across the United States and Canada, with support in English, French, and Spanish. If that model fits your business, the JET review covers it with the same scrutiny as the rest — including where it's not the right pick.
